Katerina Bakolias (she/her) is a queer, Greek-Canadian, playwright, and screenwriter. With a passion for entertaining, she aspires to write stories that resonate with a queer female audience who enjoy comedy and drama. Committed to amplifying female voices, she actively creates new and compelling works across the realms of theatre, film and now literature. She lives in Nova Scotia.*
KRISTOPHER MIELKE (he/they) is the co-author of Victory Lap with Riley Alexis Wood. They love drinking too much coffee, watching long video essays about philosophy and cartoons, and writing about queer heroes and hungry monsters. They live outside of Erin, Ontario.
‘NATHAN BURGOINE is the author of the queer young adult novel Exit Plans for Teenage Freaks (finalist for the Prix Aurora Award for YA Novel) and queer young adult novella Hope Echoes, included in the collection Three Left Turns to Nowhere. Beyond writing, ‘Nathan has worked in a sheet metal factory, on queer outreach, and as a bookstore manager. He, his husband, and their rescued husky live in Ottawa, Ontario.
Alison Lister is an enby (non-binary) author who has been writing realistic and romantic adult LGBTQ+ fiction as Elizabeth Lister, and currently as AE Lister, for over ten years. They are a partner, parent, and sibling, with lots of life experience to draw upon. They live in Ottawa, Ontario with their partner and two children.
ANGEL JENDRICK is the author of gritty contemporary romances. She also dabbles in poetry, from time to time. When not writing or editing (or thinking about writing or editing), she watches movies, jams to her favourite tunes, runs after her kids, or works on her latest home reno or DIY project.
MYRIAD AUGUSTINE is a queer, non-binary, intersectional feminist. Myriad founded and co-run the Wheelhouse, a nonprofit designed to be a supporting resource for people facing barriers of accessibility. Myriad lives in Toronto, Ontario. Myriad is the author of Ace of Hearts.
TRACY GOLDFARB, author of Love IRL, is a writer and artist who is involved in the LBGTQ+ community. Tracy attended OCAD for sculpture and currently teaches fabrication skills at Humber College. Tracy lives in Toronto.
BRIDGET LIANG identifies as a mixed race, queer, transfeminine, autistic, disabled, fat fangirl. They came into their queerness in Hamilton, Ontario, and co-founded RADAR Youth Group at the LGBTQ Wellness Centre (the Well), the first queer group in a Hamilton high school. They were instrumental in the passing of an equity policy in the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board. What Makes You Beautiful is their first novel for teens. Bridget lives in Toronto.
METTE BACH is the author of the teen novels Femme and Killer Drop (named a Best Book for Kids and Teens by the Canadian Children’s Book Centre) and four Real Love romances, Love Is Love, You’re You, Cinders, Charming, and The Love Code. She has taught ESL to high-school students and works at a drop-in resource centre. Mette lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.
MARKUS HARWOOD-JONES is a writer, visual artist and documentary filmmaker. His feature film, Mosaic, tells the story of his journey across Canada and the United States to learn more about the trans community. He is author of the Just Julian, Romeo for Real, Confessions of a Teenage Drag King, and In A Heartbeat. Markus lives in Toronto, Ontario.
TONY CORREIA is an author and journalist. His newspaper column, Queen’s Logic, ran in Xtra! West for five years. He is the author of the Same Love, True to You, and Walk This Way. His memoir, Foodsluts at Doll & Penny’s Cafe was published in 2012. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.
